For this weeks blog post I focused on capturing the beautiful plant life of Regent's Park, but during the end of winter when the plants are not and bloom and would be considered "ugly".

This photo captures Queen Mary's Gardens of Regent's Park, a world renowned garden famous for its flora. However this photo could be considered ugly as it was taken in early March, when little to none of the plants in this carefully tended garden are in bloom. Along with the other photos in this series, this image captures the seasonality and temporality of the natural landscape, as this same area will be in full bloom with a vast range of colors and textures in under a month.

This image captures the entrance to Regent's Park, with a lengthy hedge and large tree overhead. The entrance also is home to the large yellow warning sign pictured here. This image captures the park during off-peak season, when the aesthetics of the park are not crucial as there much less visitors now then in the spring and summer months.

Finally, this photo captures a large willow tree with minimal leaflet growth or volume. This photo captures temporality once more, as this same tree will have thousands of willow leaves covering the branches in a couple weeks. While this tree would be considered beautiful by most, at a time when it is not in bloom many of those same people may consider it ugly.
